Helen and Nick’s Quirky Wedding in Fremantle

I LOVE weddings that are quirky and a little different, and this was definitely one of them!! I can see Helen and Nick’s personalities coming thorugh in every single image I took.

Instead of having a traditional bunch of flowers, Helen walked down the aisle holding a paper bouquet hand made buy Helen’s sister (she used Beatles sheet music and pages from Helen’s favourite books, how cool is that!!). Instead of hiring a traditional wedding car, they hired a Freo tram (which was so much fun!). I loved all the little details like Helen’s nails featuring their names and the splash of yellow throughout the theme. Helen and Nick wanted it to be eclectic – mismatched furniture, old pieces, and a rock and roll feel – very much a representation of them!

Fremantle is their second home (and the place Nick proposed), so when it came to choosing the location to celebrate – its was very easy! On the day of the proposal, they wandered around Freo looking at old buildings, stopped at Little Creatures for a few drinks, went on the Ferris wheel (despite Helen’s fear of heights!), then walked over to Villa Roma Restaurant for dinner (where the very emotional proposal took place!). The day has so many precious memories for them, that they wanted to repeat it on the wedding day and capture during the location shoot.
