Manon and Israel’s first date was set up by Manon’s best friend Skye and Israel’s best friend Ali, who happened to be married to each other and were also the maid of honour and the best man at the wedding!
It turned out to be a beautiful hot day of nearly 40 degrees, so the shady lake location in Bicentennial Park (Sydney Olympic Park) was just perfect to shelter from the hot sun. They picked the location for their big day because they both love outdoors and the bush (in fact, Israel proposed on the walking track in Tasmania!)
The biggest highlight of the reception was the vibrant Mauritian dancing. The dancers and musicians from the Group La Faya created such a fun atmosphere, making it simply impossible for the guests not to join in! The bridal waltz was also a big hit – Manon and Israel spent many hours practicing and it was absolutely worth it!
